Fees and Membership
Membership fees enable our club to provide quality training, equipment and events for our members, as well as investing in the ongoing development and growth of the club.
Sale Swimming Club is an incorporated, not for profit sporting club run by a volunteer Committee of Management. Our main objective is to provide the structure necessary to support all of the swimmers within the club, in their respective levels training, development and competition needs. 

Swimming Cost Calculation

$ Annual Cost = Swimming Victoria Membership (Required) + Squad Training Fee (Required) + Aqua Energy Membership (Not required, but strongly recommended).

In addition, parents/carers should also allow for annual swimming expenses such as Swim Meet entry fees, uniform, equipment, transport and accommodation.

Swimming Victoria Members Welfare Policy
The Members’ Welfare Policy assists in ensuring that everyone involved in our sport of swimming is treated with respect and dignity, and is safe and protected from abuse.
Swimming Victoria Membership
  • Dry Member - Parent/Guardian: $36.06 per year
  • Swimmers (8 Years and Under): $181.65 per year
  • Swimmers (9 Years and Over): $192.65 per year

Swimming Victoria registrations are required for all training and competing swimmers.

This mandatory membership is renewable yearly, and lasts from the 1 July until 30 June the following year. Only swimmers registered as a competitor are eligible to compete. Whilst competing in swim meets is not mandatory, it is strongly encouraged for all swimmers, of all ages and abilities. As a club, it is requested that this membership is paid for promptly as this covers swimmers for insurance purposes both in the pool and dry land activities. Once an individual is a member of Swimming Victoria, then they are also affiliated with Swimming Australia.

Membership is purchased through Swim Central.

Dry Membership - Mandatory Requirement

It is mandatory requirement for all swimmers under the age of 18 to have a dry member registered. Dry member registration enables a family member to have a vote at the club’s AGM and provides insurance should the parent/guardian volunteer at the club.

Swimmer Membership - Added Benefits

Being a swimmer member allows you to track your times from club competitions to championships as well as providing the opportunity to qualify for Swimming Australia’s Junior Excellence program. You can access pathway resources, take part in development workshops and learning activities, and even gain opportunities to participate in Swimming Victoria’s performance programs.

  • $1,550 Annual ($387.50 Quarter)

  • $1,800 Annual ($450.00 Quarter)

  • $800 Annual ($200.00 Quarter)

Fitness - Masters

  • $800 Annual ($200.00 Quarter)

Participation in the squad system is considered to be an annual involvement, as a result the fees have been averaged out to produce the quarterly amounts that are sent via electronic invoices. A swimming year is considered to be 48 weeks in duration.

Scheduled invoices will be for:

  • 1 May - 31 July
  • 1 August - 31 October
  • 1 November – 31 January
  • 1 February - 30 April
